Exhibits

Kid Metro- Take an imaginary ride on Kid Metro, the child-sized version of a Capital Metro bus. Complete with bus stop, bench and route maps,  experience the role of driver and passenger!
Shadow Garden- watch your shadow interact with tadpoles, butterflies, beads of sand and marbles! Interact with the exhibit and see what you can create!!!
Funstruction Zone-Count, measure, sort and build. Discover how real world math can add up to a ton of fun!
Dairy Cow-families can learn about modern milking processes and fun facts about cows.
Global City- This little city is made up of eight role-play environments where you can explore how people work, live, and play together in a diverse, global city like Austin.
Creation Station- Creation Station lets kids create works of art with recycled materials. Join them everyday at noon for a guided art activity!
Splish-Young visitors will explore the world of water in this newest gallery. Take a peek at some friendly fish, experiment with air bubbles, get your fingers wet at the trickling water table. This area is designed for children 2-5 years old.
Austin Kiddie Limits-Set against a typically "Austin-tatious" stage backdrop, kids can slip on a costume and tap out the beat on child-sized stages. A collection of percussion shakers and pretend guitars and violins allows for some fantastic performances. Feature artists include Willie Nelson, Lyle Lovett, Miss Lavelle White, Asleep at the Wheel, Kelly Willis, Flaco Jimenez, Toni Price and many more.
Backyard Butterflies-This new, permanent exhibit is an enclosed live butterfly habitat with supporting educational signage. Children and adults will learn about insect traits, life cycles and pattern symmetry by observing dozens of live butterflies.
Rising-Star Ranch-A place for children under 2 and adults to grow, explore and discover....together! Special features: Pecan Tree, Frog Pond, Up & over Bridge, Wildflower Bed, Texas Textures, Ranch House & Barn!
All About a Number of Things-measuring, graphing and estimating, and a number of ways to use math to solve fun challenges in everyday activities! January 13 - May 20, 2007
The Big Game-oversize versions of popular games!! Flex your mind & muscles while you strategize, concentrate, cooperate & compete!!!  May 26 - September 22, 2007
